Amid the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is undeterred in pursuing its modernization program for the country's ports especially the international gateways to implement green port initiatives to meet the future challenges of climate change.

PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago announced during the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (ManaMo) that the Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the port agency have completed about 450 projects nationwide since 2016 at the onset of President Duterte's administration.
