Govt mulls 'alternatives' for safe 2022 polls

Ways to safeguard democracy amid the ongoing Covid-19 threat are being explored given next year's presidential elections, government officials said.

'Possible scenarios that could happen' are being discussed by the National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF), Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), and the Commission on Elections (Comelec), vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said.
