Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar has suspended the Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence nationwide as part of the security measures for the eight-day filing of Certificates of Candidacy (CoC) on Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices across the country.
Eleazar said the temporary gun ban took effect from midnight of September 30 until 7 a.m. of Oct. 9, 2021 until the CoC filling ends.
