Price of palay in Central Luzon plummets

Harvest season has begun in Central Luzon but the farmgate price of palay (unhusked rice) in the region remained low.

From its average price of P15 to P16 per kilo in Tarlac, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga, the price of newly harvested palay has plummeted to as low as P12 to P13 per kilo.
