Mindoro public, private hospitals 'overwhelmed'

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: The Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH) is temporarily not accepting patients in its outpatient department (OPD) for lack of manpower and to balance medical services in the province, a health official said over the weekend.

Dr. Dante Nuestro, chief of hospital of the OMPH, directing The Manila Times to his official social media page when asked on the current Covid-19 situation in the province on Sunday, said many frontliners including doctors, nurses, midwives and medical technologists had tested positive for the virus.
