TUGUEGARAO CITY: Army soldiers found the remains of five suspected New People's Army (NPA) rebels who were believed killed in a Tuesday gun battle in Barangay Dungeg, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan, the military said on Wednesday.
Maj. Jekyll Dulawan, Fifth Infantry Division (5th ID) spokesperson, said the soldiers also seized three high-powered firearms, three anti-personnel landmines, four mobile phones, assorted medical supplies and equipment, anti-government documents and other personal belongings from the area.
