Cessna plane crashes after takeoff in Bulacan

CIVIL Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said a two-seater Cessna C152 plane crashed in Lumang Bayan, Plaridel, Bulacan shortly after it took off at Plaridel Airport on Friday. CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said pilot Capt. Paul Jemuel Gavanes escaped unhurt, while his companion, 26-year-old Lebon Eisen Sandoval sustained minor injuries. The C152, with registry number RP-C4623, was reportedly operated by Precision Flight Control Philippines based in Plaridel. Initial investigation conducted by CAAP showed the plane took off from Plaridel airport for a training flight, but several minutes later crashed on a vacant lot in Barangay Agnaya, also in Plaridel. Apolonio said agency investigators are still gathering information from Plaridel tower officials and from nearby residents who witnessed the crash.
