THE Central Luzon regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has banned single-use plastics in its office and premises to help reduce waste generation and protect river systems from plastic pollution.
DENR Regional Executive Director Paquito Moreno Jr. issued a memorandum stating employees and food service providers would be strictly prohibited from using plastic bottles, cups, straws, cutlery, thin-filmed sando bags, polystyrene foam and plastic takeout containers.
