DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan: The "illegal" arrest of the wife of a former vice mayor of Sual, Pangasinan by members of the Criminal Investigation Group (CIDG) almost three months ago for alleged theft was scored over the weekend by a nationwide nongovernment group, based in the province, saying charges against her were fabricated.
The Citizens Movement Against Corruption, Crime, Illegal Drugs and Gambling Inc., headed by Prof. Salvador Singson-de Guzman, identified the woman as Geronima Consuelo-Ravara, 63, the wife of Sual ex-vice mayor Jong Ravara.
