RECORDING more than 40 new confirmed cases in just one week, two areas in Barangay Poblacion in Muntinlupa have been placed under granular lockdown, adding to the growing number of areas in the city under the stricter quarantine status. Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has imposed a 15-day extreme localized community quarantine (ELCQ) to Building 18 and Sitio Aplaya in Rizal Street, Barangay Poblacion starting September 3, 12 p.m. until September 18, 12 p.m. upon the recommendation of the City Health Office (CHO).

As of September 3, Muntinlupa CHO recorded 23 confirmed cases in Building 18 or an attack rate of 3,833 per 10,000 population, and 24 cases in Sitio Aplaya or an attack rate of 821.91 per 10,000 population.
