A group of electronic cigarette and vaporizers (vape) consumers urged the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to find out if groups that received "lobby money" from foreign organizations paid taxes.
The call came after research published by the Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates (Caphra) revealed that at least seven nongovernment organizations received grants from US billionaires Bill Gates and Michael Bloomberg to lobby for a vaping ban in the Philippines.
