THE number of unemployed Filipinos went down to 3.1 million in July from 3.8 million in June, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said.
In a briefing on Tuesday, National Statistician Claire Dennis Mapa said that based on the latest Labor Force Survey (LFS), the number of out-of-work individuals translates to an unemployment rate of 6.9 percent, down from the 7.7 percent recorded a month earlier.
