SEN. Cynthia Villar on Saturday encouraged more Kadiwa Bagsakan Centers (KBCs), which were born out of the partnership of Rice Up Farmers Inc. and local governments, saying that KBCs provide more income to our farmers and cheaper cost to rice buyers.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Rice Up Kadiwa Bagsakan Centers in Floridablanca, Pampanga, Villar, chairman of the Senate agriculture and food committee, also acknowledged the important role of farmers in agriculture to ensure that every Filipino have food to eat on their table and to help in the country's food sufficiency and sustainability.
