THE Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) has no plans of forming a defense group similar to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) amid growing security concerns in the region, an official of the Department of Foreign Affairs said.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and Asean Affairs Ma. Theresa Lazaro made the statement during a webinar hosted by the Philippine Council for Foreign Relations.
