CSC orders reinstatement of 60 employees in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) ordered the reinstatement of the 60 laid off employees of the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa).

'According to the CSC resolution dated August 20, the sacked employees shall be entitled to full pay from the time of their separation until actual reinstatement,' Nelson Sarmiento, CSC regional director said. Last year, Baciwa signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) with PrimeWater, which would take over the everyday operations of the water district for the next 25 years.
