THE P1.6-billion logistics contract awarded by the Commission on Elections to the company linked to a campaign contributor of President Rodrigo Duterte during the 2016 presidential polls constitutes a "conflict of interest," according to a former Comelec official.
Former Comelec commissioner Gus Lagman, who is now president of election watchdog National Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel), on Friday said the contract awarded to F2 Logistics Philippines, said to be owned by Davao tycoon Dennis Uy, was inappropriate.
