THE last time the Philippine men's basketball team played in the Olympics was in 1972 in Munich. For years, the Philippines has tried but failed to return in the prestigious quadrennial games. However, hopes are high for the current batch of Gilas Pilipinas which aims to book a ticket for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
