CHALLENERGY, a Japanese startup company headquartered in Tokyo, has installed a 10-kilowatt Magnus Vertical Axis Wind Turbine in Batanes that will add power to the island's existing microgrid.

The inauguration ceremony for the wind turbine was attended by Batanes Gov. Marilou Cayco; Basco Mayor Demetrius Paul Narag; Challenergy founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atsushi Shimizu; and Challenergy Philippines CEO Paul Michael Robles.
