Insurers' premium earnings up in Q1

The Insurance Commission (IC) reported on Friday that the insurance industry's premium income increased by double digits in the first quarter of this year.

Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa said in a statement that the industry's total premium earned in the first three months reached P99.98 billion, up 27.81 percent from P78.15 billion in the same period previous year.
