A seafarer can be many things when he is back onshore. Some would share their knowledge as trainers and educators, others as manning or shipping executive, and the rest would explore their skills in agriculture or business.

In the age of the Internet and technology, however, many of the younger seafarers have turned to information and experience dissemination. Those who have a knack for multimedia content creation have succeeded and have gained a good number of followers on various social media platforms.
