THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC), led by Sen. Richard Gordon, continues to be at the forefront of providing aid to the most vulnerable. PRC's most recent project was in Barangay NBBS, Dagat-Dagatan Caloocan. The PRC rolled out its new Hot Meals on Wheels food truck to provide meals during the current enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

According to PRC Caloocan Chapter Administrator Robert Dacles, the PRC provided 300 meals to individuals in the community, including senior citizens, solo parents and informal settlers. This week, PRC volunteers and staff aim to provide hot meals for 2,000 individuals in Caloocan and Navotas, including seniors, and those who are bedridden. By the last week of August, they also target to distribute 400 relief packs for those who lost their jobs due to the ongoing ECQ.
