BACOLOD CITY: Two suspected members of the New People's Army (NPA) and an Army soldier were killed in an encounter at Hacienda Remunda in Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Friday.
On Friday, First Lt. Dansan Camua, 79th Infantry Battalion (IB) Civil Military Operations officer, said 79th IB soldiers responded to reports from Hacienda Remunda residents about the alleged extortion and recruitment activities of communist rebels in their community.
