PH Covid cases hit record 17,000

The Philippines recorded 17,231 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases on Friday, the biggest single-day increase since the pandemic began last year.

The figure eclipsed the previous record of 15,310 cases logged last April 2.
