CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela: A weeklong lockdown has been imposed in 36 out of 91 barangay (villages) in the city amid the increase of Covid-19 cases in the past two weeks.
The lockdown begins at 8 p.m. on Monday, August 16, and will end at 8 p.m. the next Monday, August 23.
Sunday's records show there are 80 active cases in the city and 113 others show positive results from antigen swab tests and have been subjected to confirmatory reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests, Ilagan City Mayor Josemarie Diaz said on Monday.
City health officials said the daily attack rate is 4.73 percent and the growth rate for the past two weeks is 151.21 percent.
Mayor Diaz said movement of people under lockdown areas is prohibited except for those who have emergency and medical needs; those accessing essential goods and services; and those working in permitted offices and establishments.
The 36 barangay have been listed as critical zones and all subvillages and barangay near these have been placed under containment zones.
The villages under lockdown are Alibagu, Bliss, Calamagui 1st, Calamagui 2nd, Guinatan, Centro Poblacion, Santa Barbara, Baculod, Osmeña, Camunatan, Baligatan, San Vicente, Cabannungan 1st, Cabannungan 2nd, Mangcuram, Santa Isabel Sur, Bangag, Cabiseria 3, Malalam, Alinguigan 1st, Alinguigan 3rd, Rugao, Fuyo, Batong Labang, Marana 2nd, Cabiseria 7, San Andres, Arusip, Manaring, Bagong Silang, Centro San Antonio, Aggassian, Sipay, Cabiseria 22, Pilar and Cabiseria 10.
