DEFENSE Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on Thursday said the military was verifying the supposed presence of a Chinese research ship near the Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal.
Ryan Martinson, an assistant professor at the US Naval War College, posted on his Twitter account that Chinese research vessel "Hai Da Hao" was seen 65 nautical miles east of Panatag Shoal on Wednesday.
