A low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Catanduanes and the southwest monsoon or "habagat" will bring scattered rain showers in Metro Manila and parts of the country over the next two to three days, the state-run weather agency said on Tuesday.

However, the LPA may dissipate in the next 24 to 48 hours, according to weather specialist Joey Figuracion of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
