The Department of Health reported 8,900 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, pushing the total number of infections to 1.668 million. The positivity rate went up to 21.3 percent, according to the Department of Health.
The high positivity rate meant that 10,670 of the 50,096 samples tested positive.
