DIVERSIFIED conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC) swung back to profitability as it netted P29.6 billion in January to June, reversing its P4-billion loss last year amid the recovery of its major businesses.

The Ang-led corporation on Thursday also reported a 16 percent stronger consolidated revenues of P410.1 billion in the first half on the back of higher sales from Petron Corp., SMC Global Power Holdings Corp. and San Miguel Food and Beverage Inc. (SMFB).
