EVERY day, I look at the tally of "Phl cases of Covid-19" that appears on the front pages of newspapers. This report tells us the number of new confirmed cases, deaths, recoveries and total number of cases.
This daily report of the Department of Health (DoH) enables us to track the incidence of morbidity and mortality caused by the pandemic. Likewise, appearing on a daily basis on the front pages of broadsheets are more detailed reports on which cities and provinces are registering spikes in confirmed Covid-19 cases and what the national and local government units are doing in response. Every now and then there are reports of famous and rich people who contracted the virus and those who died because of it.
