Carlo Paalam entered the gold medal round at the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday with a unanimous decision win over Japanese Ryomei Tanaka in the men's flyweight boxing competition semifinals at the Kokugikan Arena.
Four judges scored 30-27 in favor of Paalam, while the fifth judge scored 29-28 in favor of Tanaka.
