THE use of contraceptives increased in 2020 amid concerns over pregnancies, among others, during the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, according to the Commission on Population and Development.

Popcom cited the 2020 Annual Report of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) Act, which said that at least 8.1 million Filipinos have used 'some form of modern family planning method in 2020'.
