Pinoy pole vaulter Obiena misses podium finish in Tokyo

FILIPINO pole vaulter EJ Obiena missed out on a podium finish at the Tokyo Olympics men's final at the Olympic Stadium on Tuesday, August 3.

The No. 6 pole vaulter in the world, Obiena placed 11th overall and did not advance to the 5.87-meter bar round after failing to clear the 5.80-meter bar in three attempts.
