Cambodia lockdown no effect on Covid-19 surge

PHNOM PENH: The lockdown of eight border provinces neighboring Thailand may not yield the anticipated results immediately.

Phnom Penh based analysts have said that Khmer Times has already highlighted the fact that there could be a humanitarian crisis at the Thai side of the border where Cambodians waiting to cross have gathered or are on the way to congregate in order to cross the various legal and illegal border points.

WE’RE HIT The Banteay Meanchey Provincial Administration issued an announcement on the extension of the travel ban south of Wat Thmey, Palilei 1 village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet city in Cambodia until July 6, 2021.
