Budget chief goes on medical leave

BUDGET Secretary Wendel Avisado will go on medical leave starting August 2 until August 13 upon the advice of his doctor, Malacañang confirmed on Saturday.

Citing a statement from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Roque said that Avisado contracted coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) where he was hospitalized for eight days and went under quarantine for 'over a month.'
