WHEN June Mar Fajardo was sidelined by an injury last season, it opened opportunities for other players, particularly the guards, a shot of finally winning the PBA Most Valuable Player award.
Fajardo was the MVP for six straight seasons and is the league's most dominant force, but last year, a fractured tibia put him out of action in the bubble tournament and a guard named Stanley Pringle was able to outshine everybody and win the MVP award of the lone tournament of the season.
