I am a contract player of a certain company in one basketball league. Our coach benched me when my performance in one game was subpar from what they expected. I felt that our coach may no longer wish to make me play for the rest of the game, so I removed my jersey and just waited until the game was finished. This became the ground for the termination of my services. According to the company, it is their right to dismiss me based on the said infractions and this absolute right is called management prerogative. Is my dismissal really a management prerogative?
