Quezon City police station commander sacked for 'breach of protocol'

THE chief of the Talipapa Police Station in Quezon City has been sacked after 82 of its policemen tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), 51 of whom were deployed to secure President Rodrigo Duterte's final State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, announced on Thursday the administrative relief of PLt. Col. Cristine Tabdi, whose area of jurisdiction falls under the command of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
