OCTA to govt: Lock down, Delta cases up

The independent OCTA Research group has urged the government to go into a 'circuit breaker' lockdown for two weeks to prevent the spread of the highly infectious Delta variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

The suggestion came after President Rodrigo Duterte warned during his State of the Nation Address on Monday that a lockdown may happen to protect the country from the devastating effects of the variant.
