The national government's (NG) foreign debt servicing and expenditures, as well as the central bank's foreign exchange operations, resulted in a balance of payments (BoP) gap of $312 million in June, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Central bank data released on Tuesday showed the figure was significantly smaller than the $1.39-billion deficit in May, but a reversal of the $80-million surplus in June 2020.
