DoH hopes for passage of health bills

THE Department of Health hopes that some key health measures will be passed by Congress before the end of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte as he delivers his final State of the Nation Address on Monday.

The measures, according to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, are the creation of the Philippine Center for Disease Control (CDC) bill, the Virology Institute of the Philippines (VIP) bill, the Medical Reserve Forces bill, and the National Health Security Bill,
