ALL eyes and ears were on President Rodrigo Duterte as he delivered his final State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday. But even without the traditional red-carpet welcome for congressmen, senators, Cabinet members and other dignitaries, SONA fashion is still worth a story, not only out of habit, but for the rise of a new Filipiniana trend.

Hours before the Chief Executive's report to the nation began, opposition lawmakers were out on the streets to join rallies, donning their so-called 'protest outfits.'
