PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte said the Philippines was one of the world's fastest growing economies prior to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
"Due to the brilliant programs, excellent work of our economic managers and extraordinary cooperation between executive and legislative, our economy with investor confidence, was poised to leapfrog into among the fastest-growing economies until Covid-19 stalled everything," Duterte said during his last State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.
