Every year for 10 years now, Deloitte Global has been surveying millennials around the world to better understand their expectations, motivations, and opinions surrounding the businesses they work for and patronize and the issues shaping their world. This year, for the first time, Gen Zs were also equally represented in this global survey.
It seems particularly important to check in on these two generational cohorts now, more than a year since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the total disruption of their education and careers. While this health crisis has been difficult for everyone, it may be more jarring for millennials and Gen Zs, many of whom are just beginning to carve out their own space in the world. A majority of the Filipino Gen Z respondents to the Deloitte survey are college-aged, while over 60 percent of the millennial respondents hold either junior or midlevel executive positions at their workplaces.
