Marine scientists hold online symposium on global challenges

MORE than 300 scientists in the country and abroad are holding a three-day online symposium in an attempt to look into the linkage of good governance in addressing the growing global issues such as pollution, biodiversity loss, overfishing and the effects of climate change.

In a statement sent to The Manila Times, Dr. Romell Seronay, Philippine Association of Marine Science (PAMS) president, said the convention will focus on highlighting the connection between marine science and good governance and scrutinize the ways to make our seas healthy.
