COTABATO CITY: Children from various municipalities in Maguindanao stand to benefit from amenities installed for them by the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) through the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) such as solar powered street lights and playgrounds. Member of Parliament Sittie Shahara Mastura held ground-breaking ceremonies for these projects that will be implemented by the Ministry of Public Works using the Transitional Development Impact Fund of the MPs. 'Ensuring the welfare of BARMM people is my priority, and I am happy to carry out projects they deserve,' Mastura said. The municipalities of Buldon, Sultan Kudarat, North Upi, Datu Odin Sinsuat and Northern Kabuntalan are among the beneficiaries of the infrastructure programs. Datu Salaban Diocolano, mayor of Northern Kabuntalan, expressed his gratitude to Mastura for making the wish of residents who had asked for children's parks come true. The MP also proposed the improvement of the province's unpaved roads. Both the solar-powered lights and the road improvements, according to North Upi Mayor Ramon Piang, would help ensure the safety of vehicles going through their area, particularly at night.
