'Only Comelec can resolve PDP-Laban row'

THE reported attendance of President Rodrigo Duterte in the meeting of the Partido Demokratiko ng Pilipinas-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) on July 17 will not end the intra-party dispute between the group of Sen. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao and Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, a prominent election lawyer said.

Romulo Macalintal said on Thursday the President's expected presence in the party's national assembly on Saturday will not settle the dispute on who among the warring party officials are authorized to sign the certificate of nomination and acceptance of PDP-Laban's official candidates, among other issues.
