SEVERAL Japanese manufacturing firms plan to expand their business but expressed concern on some of the government's policies.

In a statement on Thursday, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Foreign Trade Service Corps said companies such as Brother Industries, Canon Inc., Seiko Epson Corp., Terumo Corp., JMS Co., Ltd., ROHM Co., Ltd., NIDEC Corp., MinebeaMitsumi Inc., Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and IBIDEN expressed their interest to explore expansion and diversification projects tentatively valued in the amount of over $3 billion.
