The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Philippines urged Filipinos to remain cautious despite the pronouncement of the Department of Health (DoH) that the country now has a "low risk" for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
According to Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe, the country remains in a "delicate situation," where more transmissible mutations can cause surges in cases that could buckle the health system just like how the Delta variant is affecting cases in Indonesia.
