More Filipino households are setting aside money for emergencies and other costs, a nationwide survey conducted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) at the second quarter of this year revealed.

In its latest Consumer Expectations Survey, the central bank said the percentage of households with savings climbed marginally to 28.3 percent in April-June from 28.2 percent in the first quarter.
