MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato: A stolen motorcycle from Metro Manila seven years ago was recovered in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao on June 30. In a patrol conducted by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU) of the Philippine National Police in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, authorities blocked a Honda RS (4067NQ), engine number KPG00E016296 and chassis number KPG00016286 in Barangay Poblacion, Shariff Aguak. Lt. Taha Enok, Maguindanao Provincial Highway Patrol Group (HPG) head, said while they were conducting an anti-car theft operation, they encountered a male motorcycle rider with no helmet and no driver's license and with an improvised license plate. The motorcycle was immediately subjected to scrutiny through the HPG Verification Information Management System and was reported stolen on Oct. 14, 2014 to the Eastern Police District of Metro Manila. The motorcycle and the suspect, identified as Saudi Pangadil from Barangay Takunalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao, are now under the custody of the RHPU in Cotabato City.
